Who We Are

Cara Smiley, the director of Integrated Organic Services, is a professional with years of experience working within the international organic industry.

Previously, Cara Smiley was the Latin America Certification Services manager for two US certification agencies. Currently, she also performs independent organic inspections for several certifiers and works as a certification reviewer for one of the principal US certification agencies. In her role as consultant and inspector, she travels extensively in Mexico, Central America and South America working with clients and participating in industry trade shows.

In founding Integrated Organic Services, Cara Smiley offers her understanding of the opportunities, challenges and nuances of the organic industry in Latin American countries so as to facilitate commercial relationships between Latin American producers and processors and their counterparts in the United States, Canada, Europe and Japan.

Integrated Organic Services successfully assists importers and exporters to resolve the challenges that arise in organic production and in compliance to the organic standards in each organic international market. We work with importing and exporting companies from different countries bridge the gaps between organic production, compliance and market demands.
